The
Coochie-Coochie Band: Baby Blues (Joonbug Records)
The aim is a Blues record for children, but the
results are a bit more like a Disney cartoon, where a lot of the
humor also appeals to adults (who of course are the ones who buy
the tickets). The lyrics cover a variety of child-like concerns,
but sung in a humorous manner that both kids and adults will find
hilarious. What makes it work is that the music is extremely well
executed and arranged, making the mugging and funny voices sound
even funnier.
