The message I'd like to give people, and it's really important is that we're capable people. Maybe we don't read and write, it's not important, it's what's in here (gesturing to heart). We're capable of touching another person with our kind words, by spending time listening, just being there. When people go through troubles, we can reach out with our hearts and be there with them, that's being a family, that's what it's all about. The other thing is that, we can make significant differences just by changing who we are. If we wish to keep on hurting and not trying to get well or being afraid to look at the past to get through it and get on, then we're hurting the next generations down the road.

Our children are the most precious things we've got going. When we yell at them or hurt them physically or ignore them or give them a fifty dollar bill to go to the movies, we're not giving them what they truly, truly need. What our children need is just a little bit of our time. To be listened to, to be loved, to read a story to, just to be held, to be nurtured, to be loved.

It's time we talk about these things because things are going to change, no doubt and it probably won't be black and white right now, like the whole world's gonna blow up, no, it's gonna be little things. And we're gonna have to be able to work together, we're gonna have to know these ways, we're gonna have to know how to support one another with love, in unity. We're gonna have to know how to nurture these children and take care of them, as a community, then we can survive, but it's gonna be tough. There are gonna be a lot of people that don't survive it. And I know a lot of people have heard this over and over again, they're going, "yeah right, your getting old," but the prophecies are all coming true.

In my life, where I'm at is trying to get people to realize that they can heal no matter what they've been through, whatever experiences they are. That we've all gone through pain, doesn't matter whether we're in the white culture, the black culture, the yellow culture or the red culture, we've all been through pain. We can dwell on that pain if we choose, we can stay there and be stuck, or we can make choices.
